TDR News.....TDR News.,....TDR News......

Dear friends,

During November 10, 11 and 12 th of this month, our Talainagaram
witnessed a grand event in the name of " Tirumurai Mahaanaadu ". This
conference was held at our temple premises and organised by Pujyashri
Dayananda Saraswathi Swamigal. Around 3000 delegates from the entire
Tamilnadu comprising Odhuvaara and Sivaachariyaars participated in the
conference.  A very big conference Pandhal was made at Periya Prakaram(North) by the organisers to accommodate 4000 people. Entire
proceedings of the conference were recorded by Sankara TV. Almost all
Aadheenams including our Sri la Sri 24 th Thiruvaavaduthurai Aadheenam
and VIPs participasted in the conference. Sri...Sri...Dayanandha
Saraswathi Swamigal graced the conference on all the 3 days. The
conference was widely covered by the media and the photos taken are
attached. The magnitude of the conference could be gauged by having a
glimpse of the photos. On the last day, there was a procession through
all the 4 Veedhis which was eye-catching. The undersigned along with
Meera Subramanian personally met Pujyasri Dayananda Saraswathi
Swamigal on 12 th and thanked him for having chosen TDR as the venue
and honouring TDR. His love and passion for TDR was again re-affirmed
by conducting this conference. Readers are aware, Swamiji was the
brain behind and instrumental in running the " Periya Theyr ' after a
gap of 7 decades. Let us pray to Lord Mahalinga to give a long acting
life to Swami ji and our Aadheenam.

Shastiyapta Purthi of our Balu (BSNL), son of late Sanskrit pundit was
held on November 10 th at TDR. Balu is one of the front line TOSA
member since inception and let us take this opportunity to wish him
and his wife a long, happy and healthy life with continued prosperity
in the days to come. TOSA salutes the spirits of Balu for having
performed his Sashtiyaptha Purthi at TDR, our soil.

Brindaavana Dwadhasi was performed in a grand manner at the site
adjacent to our Sri Rama Bajanai Madam on November 14 th. On this
auspicious day, Dhulasi Kalyaanam in a traditional manner was
performed. The programme was well attended with traditional spirits.

Annabhishekam at our Mahalinga Swami Temple on November 15 th was a
grand one and attracted large number of devotees. Coupled with
Pradhosham on the same day, the crowd was equivalent to Thai Pusam
time crowd inside the temple.

Here is the News for our TDR ites / TOSA ites / TDR Times readers to
plan their trip to our Talainagaram. Thai Pusam is on January 16, 2014
